Exclusive Emergency Support for Our Clients

At Veterinary Way Animal Hospital, we understand that medical emergencies don’t always happen during office hours. As part of our commitment to the families we serve, we offer emergency and after-hours veterinary care exclusively for our established clients.

If your pet experiences an urgent medical issue outside of regular business hours, you can have peace of mind knowing a trusted, familiar team is just a call away. Our priority is providing timely, compassionate care when your pet needs it most, ensuring your pet is seen by the doctors who know their medical history best.

Is it a Veterinary Emergency?

It can be difficult to determine if your pet needs immediate attention. If your pet is experiencing any of the following, please contact us or an emergency facility immediately:

  • Difficulty Breathing: Labored breathing, blue or pale gums, or excessive panting.
  • Trauma: Injuries from a fall, car accident, or animal bite.
  • Seizures: Especially if they last more than 2–3 minutes or occur in clusters.
  • Toxin Ingestion: Suspected poisoning from chocolate, grapes, lilies, or household chemicals.
  • Inability to Urinate: Particularly in male cats, this is a life-threatening emergency.
  • Severe Bloating: A hard, distended abdomen or unproductive retching.
  • Uncontrolled Bleeding: Or signs of severe pain (whining, inability to stand).

Why Choose Veterinary Way for Urgent Care?

When an emergency strikes, the last thing you want to do is explain your pet’s complex medical history to a stranger. Because we offer this service to our established clients, we provide:

  • Familiar Faces: Your pet is treated by a team they already trust, reducing stress during a crisis.
  • Integrated Medical Records: We have immediate access to your pet’s previous lab work, allergies, and chronic conditions.
  • Specialty-Trained Team: Our hospital utilizes top-of-the-line equipment and a specialty-trained team to perform thorough evaluations and guide rapid treatment decisions.
  • Collaborative Care: When needed, we collaborate with board-certified specialists to ensure even the most complex emergency cases receive expert-level interpretation.
